Something new for the camera people: AWS filmer model. A focus chart graphic on a white dipped board (for white balance). It really works. Also a shorter wheelbase for tighter turns and 85A wheels.

Still working on the snip tests. A minor setback while filming Heath. Note to self: sweep ditch before filming. Will be up and running after surgery.

Team news:

At the moment Grant and Dill are filming out in Australia. In a couple days they’ll be joined by Omar and Dylan.

Heath, Mikey, and AVE have been keeping busy in LA. Kalis is due out west shortly.

Berra is down due to a tweaked ankle, but he’s still at his park on a daily basis working on the Berrics site.

Kalis just left LA after three weeks with the DC guys for their King of LA event. Josh skated a ton so expect some footage in the podcast that's dropping shortly.

Heath just returned from Emerica's Wild Ride. You can read all about it here.

Dill has been drinking cases of San Pellegrino water and skating lots in NYC. At last word he was out skating until 7am this morning.

AVE is back on his feet after having some ankle work done. He's hitting the gym, moving downtown, and getting ready to skate again.

Dyrdek just wrapped the second season of his show and has been skating Berra's park on a regular basis. Myspace hosted Rob's birthday party last week in Vegas where he was able to catch up with his pal Tom.

Berra just returned from a pro contest in Copenhagen. He'll be out in Nebraska for a week or so before returning to the LA streets.

Mikey has been skating LA since returning from Ohio where he was at the Skate Plaza for Go Skateboarding Day.

Grant is on his way out to LA where he'll be joining Heath and the gang on a trip up north for the week.

Dylan is enjoying his new pro status by currently holding The Hat. He's also just moved into the AWS house in LA but is in Japan at the moment with Omar and the Analog team. My guess is that Omar's room key in Tokyo is already long gone and his hotel room door has some kind of rigged contraption like this.

The Athens photo log is up. Didn't shoot many photos out there as there was so much filming going down. All the footage from that trip which isn't saved for the AWS vid will be available soon in a short promo project that Analog is doing. It will be on there along with footage from the Japan trip that Jason Hernandez is currently filming.

The Hat now bears a purple heart in honor of AVE, who just underwent ankle surgery. He should be fine and is already in good spirits, but hopefully that heart will be the only badge of it’s kind to ever be on there. In addition to the heart, The Hat has some fresh notches.

Out in Chicago the other week the wind made the skating rough but cleared time for getting shooting some other types of footage.

Then it was back to Sacramento for a quick trip. Omar is the proud owner of a new house, where he has plenty of space for his morning workout. When you have as much energy as Omar it burned however possible.

Other team news:

Kalis is resting up in Michigan before coming out west for DC’s King of LA event this month.

Mikey just returned home from a skating/filming trip in Ohio.

Grant is finishing the school year as well as his Nike part out in Atlanta.

Berra has been putting the final touches on his movie “The Good Life” while street skating on a daily basis.

Heath returned from France and left just enough time to put another notch on The Hat before heading out next week on a motorcycle trip. He will eventually meet up with Emerica’s Wild In The Streets.]]> 16 May 17, 2007

Team update:

Heath, AVE, and Dylan have all been skating and filming around LA on a daily basis. Check Acostas page on the TSM site for the evidence. Kalis and Mikey are getting ready for a short trip to France for a demo and some street skating. Dill is supposedly in LA. Berra has been hitting the streets on a regular basis with a good bit of success. Dyrdek is deep in production on season two. Omar is in Spain putting the finishing touches on his Nike part before getting back to business for the AWS vid.

Why do filmer/photographers stress on lending their equipment? Ask Mikey Taylor. Thanks though for the replacement, Mikey. He’s next for a snip test which should be up very soon.

Kalis has recently returned from a productive trip in Barcelona. Expect a snip test and photos shortly.

Mikey has also just returned from a productive trip- in Texas with Guru, Reda, and AWS filmer Benny.

Dyrdek and Berra are deep in training for Tampa Pro next weekend where they have a big wager on who places higher. So the park sessions have been heated, to say the least. And yes, the whole ordeal will be televised.
